Deir Ezzor…Many Criminals…One Victim Five new days of siege - TopicsExpress

Deir Ezzor…Many Criminals…One Victim Five new days of siege have struck the city…a repeat of a previous crime, carried out by a different criminal, with the help of the same criminal who besieged the city once before. Deir Ezzor is cut off from electricity, lack of water, lack of food and medicine, lack of medical treatment for many afflicted people who need to leave the city for their treatment. Thousands of families are having their humanity slaughtered in silence. For these reasons, we had no choice but to launch the #DeirEzzorNeedsYourHelp campaign to bring together the largest number of media activists, journalists, human rights defenders, and people working on the ground from the sons of Deir Ezzor. The goal of this campaign is humanitarian and to bring attention to the worsening humanitarian conditions in Deir Ezzor Syria. We are here to serve the Syrian people by making the following demands: - Lifting the present siege on Deir Ezzor, Syria. - Ending the suffering of the civilians living in Deir Ezzor, who have been suffering in the city and Rural Deir Ezzor for two years, and searching out a permanent solution instead of a temporary or emergency solution. - Ending the current siege on Deir Ezzor does not mean solving the entire set of problems facing the city, because such a siege can repeat at any time, and so this campaign focuses on dealing with the causes of the problems, and not just the problem. We will carry out media campaigns against any criminal humanitarian violations committed by any groups against Deir Ezzor. - Making suggestions about how to end the suffering of the Syrian people and running campaigns that reach out to influential people and organizations that can make the suggestions realities. - The peoples problems and suffering should be the main concern for Deir Ezzors media activists. - Confirmation that the revolution is against wrongdoing and criminal behavior, criminal oppression, and bringing down the regime is only one of the goals of the revolution. The truce that the regime is trying to advocate is not one of the goals of our revolutions, nor is it an acceptable part of any solution. - Shedding light on the crimes committed against Deir Ezzors citizens and calling for holding accountable any person or group responsible for committing those crimes. - Sending messages to media groups for the sake of the city and not for the sake of any particular media group. - Working on creating a group of civilian figures in Deir Ezzor, to reach out to the conflicting sides to negotiate for humanitarian corridors, if the conflict cannot be resolved at this time
