Through the project (Dekka) we aim to developing, qualifying public social cultural meeting point space in Koum El Dekka neighborhood in Alexandria which have a special popular cultural characteristics its goals and tasks spreading the acknowledge, culture, exchanging experiences, and providing artistic, technical and institutional support to independent cultural initiatives in Alexandria and also providing the art and social support to the compatriots in local communities Dekka as cultural social meeting, humanitarian creative interaction space with the district through its activities, and it will be collective work space and cooperation frame with different cultural and social institutions & initiatives , and also a meeting, launching ,coordinating and organizing point to a number of social cultural field events in its surrounding community ,and engine for activating a number of popular public interaction and social spaces as cafes, shops , lanes , houses and other cultural spaces . Dekka adopting the concept of collective management that in the context of an interactive direct partnership gathering compatriots with youth artists , cultural activists , social workers and others Dekka targeting to stimulate youth creative energies, support independent cultural movement and cultural sectors with cultural diversity, saving personal and social heritage to the people of Alexandria and saving itscultural diversity Dekka poses itself as an interactive space works on achieving cultural justice and emphasizing the role of art and culture as an engine to the social change.
