Delta Committed To Completing Ughelli-Asaba Road Dualisation –Anuku By Vincent Anikwushe Delta State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the completion of Ughelli-Asaba Road dualisation project before the end of the present administration. The Commissioner for Special Duties in charge of the road, Hon. David Anuku, stated this while fielding questions from newsmen shortly after his familiarisation/inspection tour of the road. The Commissioner who was accompanied on the inspection tour by some contractors handling the road project and some engineers from his office, expressed satisfaction on the extent of job done at the sector B and A of the road project. His words, “As you can see, from sector A you will notice that a lot of job has been done. It is the desire of his Excellency, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan that this project will be completed before the end of his tenure”. “With what we have seen, sector B is 97 per cent completed, sector A is 40-50 per cent completed. On sector C, we are addressing some issues which we are trying to resolve with the engineers and as soon as that is done, we will move ahead and I think we will deliver before that time” He commended the governor for the massive transformation of the state via his three point agenda, even as he called on Deltans to continue to support the present administration in its determination to finish strong.
