Demario Long I’m going to say something that I don’t say often and that is you are so right…..I too never understood the magnitude of “Everything is going to be alright in the morning” until December 17, 1995. When I woke up that night/morning and heard momma praying because of the pain she was in and I too whispered a prayer to God to just heal her and take away that pain because that’s what we were taught. For a long time I blamed myself for momma’s death but as I time went by I now understand he just granted our prayers. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). God took the pain away and gave her, her wings and if could change things and bring her back I wouldn’t change one thing. I know momma continues to live on within us. I know she is proud of the man and woman we both have grown to be. We aren’t perfect but we are perfectly blessed. So on today I too say Happy Heavenly Birthday Ruth L Long (06/27/50 – 12/17/95) and rest on until we meet again. I love and miss you dearly!
