Democratic Alliance press statement by John Steenhuisen MP DA Shadow Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs SACSI report: DA-run City of Cape Town best in the country The latest figures released by the South African Customer Satisfaction Index (SACSI) shows that the DA-run City of Cape Town is the best run municipality in the country. With a score of 71.6, the City of Cape Town was 17.8% higher than the calculated average. This compares with a national average of 60.6 across all eight of South Africa’s metro municipalities. The City of Johanessburg scored -5.4% below average. Ekurhuleni, Nelson Mandela Bay, Buffalo City and Mangaung scored -4.3%, -11.9%, -15.3% and -17.1% below average respectively. The survey measures how customers in South Africa view the quality of household goods and services supplied to them by institutions within a wide range of industries. The low scores of these other municipalities demonstrate the low standard of service delivery provided by President Zuma’s ANC. This does not need to be the case. All South Africans can have the DA difference if they give the DA a chance at the ballot box.
