Dengue alert!! I would like to inform that there were 3 confirmed dengue cases in Nee Soon South: 1. Springleaf Rise, notified on 11 June 2013. (Springleaf NC) 2. Blk 830, Yishun Street 81, notified on 12 June 2013 (Zone D) 3. Blk 864, Yishun Street 81, notified on 12 June 2013 (Zone E) Please help to remind your family members and neighbours to remain vigilant and to take dengue preventive measures, please. Thank you. Also there is a cluster of 3 cases at Blk 757, 762 Yishun St 72 and Blk 766 Yishun Ave 3 in Nee Soon Central Division. As the cluster boundary is adjacent to Nee Soon South Zone A and Nee Soon South Zone B, we would like to urge residents to take preventive measures and do the the 5-Step Mozzie Wipeout listed below. i. Change water in vases/bowls on alternate days ii. Turn over all water storage containers iii. Remove water from flower pot plates on alternate days iv. Clear blockages and put BTI insecticide in roof gutters monthly v. Cover bamboo pole holders when not in use Apart from doing the Mozzie Wipeout, everyone can also help to remind their family members and neighbours to join in the collective efforts.
