//Dennis Kiogora Muslim (1:33) - the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah Bukhari (8:387) - Allahs Apostle said, I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally. Muslim (1:30) - The Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people so long as they do not declare that there is no god but Allah. Bukhari (11:626) - [Muhammad said:] I decided to order a man to lead the prayer and then take a flame to burn all those, who had not left their houses for the prayer, burning them alive inside their homes. Muslim (1:149) - Abu Dharr reported: I said: Messenger of Allah, which of the deeds is the best? He (the Holy Prophet) replied: Belief in Allah and Jihad in His cause... // Instead of expressing enmity, Im going to explain this to you as it has been explained before. Then, it will be up to you to continue to misunderstand. Before I continue on to explain I want to tell you what the Quran says. Allah says Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do not transgress limits; for God loveth not transgressors. He continues on to say And slay them wherever ye catch them, and turn them out from where they have Turned you out; for tumult and oppression are worse than slaughter; but fight them not at the Sacred Mosque, unless they (first) fight you there; but if they fight you, slay them. Such is the reward of those who suppress faith. But if they cease, God is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. And fight them on until there is no more Tumult or oppression, and there prevail justice and faith in God; but if they cease, Let there be no hostility except to those who practise oppression. (Quran 2:190-193) Time and time again we are told to fight those who fight us, the transgressors and oppressors. If they stop fighting us , if they do not attack us ; then do not fight them and stop hostility. We are to fight in the cause of God (Jihad) THOSE WHO FIGHT US. The hadiths that speak about fighting until they believe speak of those that are attacking us because of our religion. And this became clear when He tells us God does not forbid you from showing kindness and dealing justly with those who have not fought you about religion and have not driven you out of your homes. God loves just dealers. (Quran, 60:8) Allah (SWT) continues on to say But if the enemy incline towards peace, do thou (also) incline towards peace, and trust in God: for He is One that heareth and knoweth (all things). (Quran 8:61) If the enemy wants peace then turn to peace. If they stop fighting us , then we are commanded to stop. As far as Bukhari (1:11:626) it says Volume 1, Book 11, Number 626: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, No prayer is harder for the hypocrites than the Fajr and the Isha prayers and if they knew the reward for these prayers at their respective times, they would certainly present themselves (in the mosques) even if they had to crawl. The Prophet added, Certainly I decided to order the Muadh-dhin (call-maker) to pronounce Iqama and order a man to lead the prayer and then take a fire flame to burn all those who had not left their houses so far for the prayer along with their houses. (this hadith was not directly stating to burn people and their houses down, it was a distinction between the hypocrites and believers when the call of prayer came) To understand this ...read the Bukhari chapter 1 The problem is that people read things out of context without understanding. Because the actions of certain Muslims, Islam has been misinterpreted by non-Muslims. Allah (SWT) has told us in Quran Surah 2 ayah 224 And make not Gods (name) an excuse in your oaths against doing good, or acting rightly, or making peace between persons; for God is One Who heareth and knoweth all things. Nothing in Islam permits killing innocents and it has been clear throughout Quran and hadiths that we must not harm those who are not trying to fight us or take our religion away. The above hadiths were about a certain people that were attacking the Muslims and mutilating their bodies in war. I am sure that you will continue to try to refute on this issue but it all comes down to understanding Quran, hadiths, and history.
