Dennis Letbetter, a Michigan native who has lived in San Francisco - TopicsExpress

Dennis Letbetter, a Michigan native who has lived in San Francisco since 1979, is a freelance photographer, artist, and curator. His work, which has been exhibited internationally, spans portraiture, figure, cityscapes, seascapes, floral, miniature and design, and has found its way into in major public and private collections. The current show consists of color images of toys that have been slowly destroyed by Letbetter’s dog and taken on a new life in their ‘state of transformation.’ They exist, says Letbetter, as “unintentional sculpture.” The other images are panoramic cityscapes from an extensive, ongoing series. Those shown here were made in Moscow and Lisbon. Letbetter has run the Bonnafont Gallery, located in the North Beach neighborhood of San Francisco, since 1995. In 2014, he introduced a quarterly magazine, Eyemag, devoted to his work. He has produced both commercially and with his publishing house, Editions Michel Eyquem. Please join us for a free open house on Sunday, September 14th, where you can meet Dennis Letbetter, view his work, munch a bit, and finish it off with a stroll on our sumptuous grounds. Length of show: Sept. 1, 2014 - Sept. 30, 2014 Open house: Sept. 14, 2014 from 1 PM to 4 PM
