Denny Lamar Howard, 43 of Phenix City, AL passed away Monday, June 9, 2014 while at his home in Phenix City. Denny was born April 26, 1971 in Phenix city, AL to Wanda Smith Howard and the late Samuel V. Howard. He was employed with Captain D’s Restaurant with 25 years of service and was a Baptist by faith. He enjoyed watching General Hospital, Godzilla movies, grilling and cooking out, music, and was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan. Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Becky McNemar. Denny is survived by his mother, Wanda Smith Howard of Phenix City, AL, his wife, Sherry “Sue” Sheppard Howard of Phenix City, AL, children, Justin Norton, Tammie Mount and Amanda Hickman (Todd Gaines), twin sister, Deanna Nichols and husband Michael, brothers, Mike Howard and David Howard, all of Phenix City, AL. (8) Grandchildren, Mikey Mount, Christopher Mount, Tiffany Mount, Carley Mount, Kassie McNemar, Brandon Hickman, Cody Hickman and Kari Hickman, one great grandchild, Lexi McNemar and special nieces, Simone Nichols and Danielle Koretz. The family will receive friends Friday evening, June 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City. A private memorial service will held for Denny at a later date.
