Departing & On Their Way From Eagles Crest ... LADY VOLTIGEUR and ALMANACH DE GOTCHA off to Johannesburg at first light this morning. We must THANK the Team from Peter Choice Carriers for their professional teamwork. Pick-up was scheduled for 07:30 am this morning. Our Fillies were loaded on the float by 07:25. A job well done by both our Team and theirs. ALMANACH DE GOTCHA arrived on Friday and to-day she continues her onward journey with LADY VOLTIGEUR, who starts her racing career. Our Owners prefer to race their horses once their knees have closed. We dont race our horses as Two Year Olds. We give them time to develop into real horses. Most commercial Studs push their foals too early and often they dont race on. *(Like true Ladies, (L-R) ALMANACH DE GOTCHA, affectionately known as Victoria & LADY VOLTIGEUR, affectionately known as Cheddar, as they patiently waited for their turn to load onto the big float, with our neighbours, Summerhill Stud, who have also sent horse to Johannesburg this morning).
