Department of Agriculture veterinarian Jeff Galsterer from Traverse City needs to be FIRED!! He is a disgrace to this profession. Calling on all taxpaying animal loving citizens to contact local county and state governments to get the facts about this veterinarians decision to allow these animals to remain in horrible conditions and directly prevented there rescue. He performed no hands on physical examination & did no blood work and reported that one horse had no access to shelter, water or feed yet he did nothing to save them. 1 year ago the same people voluntarily surrendered their animals after dozens of complaints. Following my desperate phone calls on 11/10/14 and others, a warrant, an on site inspection revealing no water & several attempts by the Grand Traverse County Animal Control (with a trailer on site) to rescue these animals Dr. Galsterer prevented the rescue of horses & other animals. While on site he witnessed a dead goat covered in snow. Within 5 days 1 horse laid dead blocking the barn doorway for days. The hay was black & moldy until they were ordered to provide good hay. This horses body content is 2. & has been standing like this for days. This animal will die a horrible death like all the others if nothing is done. It needs a complete examination by a horse veterinarian, stall shelter a blanket & proper nutrition (mash) which I can & will provide. I have documented evidence of what Im reporting on & will willingly share it. Together we can make a difference!
