Department of Homeland Security Officer Runs Away From Copwatcher: At 10am Thursday morning (9/18) BART police were spotted at Powell station in downtown San Francisco coordinating w/ DHS officers. This by itself wasnt out of the ordinary, but as soon as a camera was pulled put to document this local/federal joint police action multiple DHS officers used their baseball caps to hide their faces. One went further and literally ran away while attempting to film me from behind. When the DHS officer was questioned on why he was running away he stated I dont want my picture taken. That is pretty funny and obviously hypocritical coming from a federal agent, but the question remains: why were these agents so afraid of their pictures being taken? Sidenote: keep an eye on BART police, theyre expanding and running intelligence operations.
