Deputy Manager and Head of Care – Fornham House Fornham House is a residential care home located in Fornham St Martin. It is the largest home within Healthcare Homes Group with 73 residential beds. Following a restructure of the senior staffing we are now looking to recruit to the following positions. Head of Care Reporting directly to the registered manager you will be required to support the home with staff management including coaching, leading and developing employees. Key responsibilities Plan, implement and evaluate appropriate care for residents. Provide support and professional supervision to care staff as appropriate. Daily supervision of all staff to ensure the delivery of excellent care. Ensure the home meets the requirements of the care standards. Reviewing staff levels and ensure these meet the requirements. Participate in recruitment process as necesssary Take an active role in the induction and training of staff. Deputy Manager You will support the overall management within the home, whilst also promoting and maintaining the highest quality of service for our residents through development of person centred care plans and acting as manager in the absence of the registered manager. Key responsibilities Support with the general management of the home. Be responsible for care planning, monitoring and reviewing arrangements. Administer and order medicines as required by the home in accordance with the homes’ policies and procedures. Ensure effective communication with relatives and other healthcare professionals. Ensure confidentiality regarding all aspects of care and management of the home is maintained. Have a good understanding of the regulatory framework. The following will apply for both positions; Skills and experience Understand care planning processes and have experience of writing care plans. Experience of working within the elderly care environment. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Ability to lead, coach and develop staff. A proven ability to work as part of a team. Self-motivated and flexible. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to contribute to, monitor and implement changes that improve service delivery and outcomes for residents. Qualifications Level 3 certificate or diploma in care management is desirable along with level 5 end of life. Full driving licence and access to vehicle Job roles Both roles are 36 hours per week to include alternative weekend working as supernumerary and shifts as required with some other supernumery hours included.
