Description: George Washington’s historic Mount Vernon has an opportunity for a Ticketing Lead. The position will serve as primary contact and support for ticketing staff. Responsibilities include: helping groups and individuals to plan their visit, answering questions and concerns, assisting with transactions, encouraging sales and setting the standard for guest service are just some of the tasks performed. This position requires availability on weekends, holidays and other non-traditional work hours on a rotating basis as Mount Vernon is a tourism based business and as such is open 365 days a year. Responsibilities: Leadership duties including: Production and maintenance of daily and monthly sales and cashier reporting; Maintenance and distribution of daily attendance/activities and sales reports; Distribution of departmental communications to staff inclusive of memos, policy and procedures, current activities and special events and promotions; taking reservations for groups and assisting with phone calls and messages. Qualifications: • Proven leadership track record • Supervisory experience (one year minimum) • Previous ticketing or reservations experience, preferably in the museum or similar tourism community • Excellent customer service skills, positive demeanor, and issue resolution skills • Ability to perform routine office activities with proficiency in MS Office suite • High school diploma Please forward a resume, cover letter and salary history/requirement by email to [email protected], by fax to 703.780.8320
