Desi Lou in the Boundary Waters on a two week YMCA canoeing/camping trip. No cabins except for 1st and last day- everyday was canoe, portage to next lake, canoe again. Then at their campsite put up tent, dig a hole for fire to cook and another to......well you know. No bathrooms there! String food bag up a large tree & a large branch to keep from animals. Eat, hang out sharing and hit the sleeping bags. Up in the morning and eat, pack it all up and off to the next full day. There were two counselors and 3 campers. What a great concept to build trust and relationships! They canoed 84 miles total- makes me tired to even type it!! Were all so thrilled she loved it and wants 3 weeks next year. Thats my girl :) And it all came together thanks to Auntie Susan Kessler Diamond for working so hard to get this done for her & the other sissys Nana Joannie Kessler Kemling & Auntie PJ Kessler for helping out. She so deserved this trip- we all love her so much!!!
