Despite missing home, Orlando isnt too bad a place. My observations on Orlando so far: 1. It rains…a LOT! I know it is Florida but Tampa seems like a desert compared to this place. Every day, 5 PM, deluge. 2. Apparently if you are from Tampa you are from the West Coast. This took me a minute. I started to explain I wasnt from California. Then it hit me. 3. Orange County School District is a pretty cool place. 4. I have THE best job. Seriously love it. 5. You will never find me on an episode of This Old House except urging people NOT to do it. 6. They have a Super Target, a Trader Joes and a Container Store so obviously we will survive. 7. Moving is hard. Something to be said for knowing where you are going without Mapquest and having friends on the corner. Luckily Tampa is close and Omni is closer. 8. Im pretty sure someone on our street is an unusual bird. Their wifi name is raehningblood666 (our street name is Raehn). Ummm mental note to avoid this person and keep an eye on the neighborhood cats. Hoping it is just a misunderstood middle schooler. Wait, that isnt any better. 9. A couch is like an old T-shirt. It just makes everything right. 10. Changing my wifi name to RaehningHolySpirit. Hoping that will counter #8.
