Despite the Mutual Defense Treaty, Americas immediate / delayed / total / partial /direct / indirect interventions will depend on the peculiar circumstances and other political factors that its decision makers will have to contend with at the point of crisis. It has its own dynamics and national interests to consider. But make no mistake, with or without the US, defending ourselves is a matter of OUR unwavering duty and constitutional imperative when the time calls for it.
