Destructive conflict problems that arise in the context of the complex adaptive system can only be solved through a very large-scale process that combines key insights from a great many people with concerted efforts by the broader society to apply those insights. Walter Isaacson’s new book, The Innovators: How a Group of Hackers, Geniuses, and Geeks Created the Digital Revolution, is a real window into this process. This Fresh Air interview provides a great introduction to his ideas.
