Detectives are appealing for information after a man was robbed of his watch and wallet. At around 10.15am on Monday, September 23, a 43-year-old man was walking along the path that leads from West Park to King Street, Long Eaton. Two men, one on foot and one on a bicycle, came up behind him. The men asked the victim for a light and he started to get his lighter from his pocket. The next thing the victim can remember is lying on the floor being helped up by a passer-by. He had a lump on his head and a cut and swelling to his face. He believes that he was punched. He discovered that his wallet and watch were missing. The victim has described the man on the bike as slim and wearing a dark tracksuit. The man he was with is white, in his mid-20s and around 5ft 7ins tall. He is slim and wore a grey hooded top and dark tracksuit trousers. A 39-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery, questioned and released on bail while inquiries continue.
