Detectives are appealing for information after arsonists put a lighted cloth through a letterbox of a house in Fleetwood. The incident took place around 3.30am on Saturday 14th September at a house on Arthur Street but luckily the occupants were not home and the flame failed to take hold. An investigation is underway to find those responsible and establish why the house was targeted. Sergeant Daniel Whitaker from Fleetwood Neighbourhood Team said: “This offence has taken place in a single lane narrow street with terraced properties on each side and if the flame had of taken hold the consequences would have been devastating. “I would appeal to anybody that saw or heard anything suspicious in the early hours of Saturday morning to contact police on 101.”
