Detectives at Ntuzuma believe that there is a possibility of an alleged serial rapist and murderer that might be responsible for four recent murders and rapes in the area. In all instances no information has been forthcoming from the community and the killer remains elusive. Police are appealing to the community to come forward with any information that could assist with the investigation, irrespective of how insignificant it may seem. The first incident took place on 27 April 2014 where Promise Cele (27) was found buried and naked in a storm water drain at Ntuzuma. In the second incident the deceased is unknown and was found naked at Ntuzuma In May with open wounds on the back of her head. The third deceased Vuyiswa Dlamini (32) was found dead, half naked and decomposed at TM Shabalala Stadium in May and the last incident took place on 6 July where Slindile Sibisi (17) was found dead at the TM Shabalala Stadium strangled with a pair of shoe laces. The suspects are unknown at this stage and we appeal to the public to come forward and assist the police with the investigation. A reward of up to R250 000-00 (two hundred and fifty thousand) has been offered to anyone who may assist the police with information that will lead to the identification, arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
