Developing Arctic resources depends on adequate governance and the development of technologies that are environmentally sound and allow us to operate effectively in the area. It also has to do with surveillance and rescue. Talking about resources and resource development in the Arctic raises a whole series of questions that are relevant to making resource exploitation and transportation as secure as humanly possible.
