Developing Young Minds had another victorious function tonight! We thank you for your prayers and continuous support. DYMs 3rd annual Poetry & Arts event opened the floor to the teens and they rocked the mic! Our youth are full of talent and creative energies, which makes them artists. I am honored to be part of an organization, DYM, that believes in nuturing, stretching and giving youth a platform to unleash. Tonights artists left us with some things to think about, smile at and to take immediate action on. Our very own creative Daughters of H.O.P.E mentees were joined with other locals teens and well supported by friends and family for an amazing night of music, poetry, singing and foods. Special thanks to our local business owners Steve and Judy Bowman for use of their beautiful venue, Five Points Coffee and making delicious smoothies and other beverages for our guests. It was publicly annouced this evening, the Male Mentoring Program under Developing Young Minds Dym will be launched very soon. This is very exciting, Mr. & Mrs. Smith have been anxiously waiting to share this news with all ! MMP will be offering group mentoring to male teens ages 13-19.
