Development plan on layouts not sanctioned Hyderabad Metropolitan Development authority has a plan to develop unsanctioned layouts around a city which are spread over hundreds of acres of land. Mr. Venkat Ratnam, Director of Planning of HMDA told that this project has been named “Land Pooling” on which work will be done on war footing basis. He further informed that Development work would be undertaken on 200 acres of land at outer ring road as the first phase. A meeting was held on 24th August. Various representatives of builders made some suggestions. Another meeting is being held today. According to the sources of HMDA, this scheme has many advantages. It will provide better infrastructure. It will also extend financial benefits to economically backwards persons. The officials of HMDA told that they are persuading private builders to develop these lands on a par with the schemes implemented in Maharashtra and other state.
