Devotion, Prayer, And Bible Quiz “Food For The Soul” God Is Forgiving [Exodus 32:8-14/KJV] Sunday, January 18, 2015 [Scroll down to answer Bible Quiz questions.] Devotion: Can God change his mind? No, we quickly say. However, in this passage the Lord withholds the judgment he had threatened for his people. But we do not serve a fickle God. He does not change his purposes. Rather, he honored the pleading of Moses, who interceded for the Israelites. We follow a God who wants to offer forgiveness. Thank the Lord for the forgiveness of sin we have received through Jesus Christ. Prayer: HEAVENLY FATHER, we praise you for Jesus Christ, who rescues us from condemnation. Apart from him we are lost and dying. We deserve judgment, but through Jesus Christ we receive new hope, for he forgives our sins and restores us to fellowship with you. Teach us to be merciful to others in light of the forgiveness we ourselves have received from you. Amen. Bible Quiz: [Exodus 32:8-14/KJV] 1.)
