Dharma: That which holds, that which keeps together or unites is Dharma. The word Dharma is derived from the Sanskrit root "Dhr", which means "to hold", "to unite". Dharma is, therefore, something that holds or keeps us together. In view of this, everything that helps unify and sustain the society, all those elements that keep the entities of the word together, living in peace and harmony, shall fall under the ambit of Dharma.
