Here are the excerpts from Satsang with Him today Last week lot of programs happened. Global Meditating Doctors Association were all gathered and they presented many research work. The program happened along with AIIMs in New Delhi.. Silent work is being done by many doctors and they have done such wonderful research work. And yesterday was the 1st convocation by Sri Sri University. And we started College of Good Governance. We want to change the social structure, social atmosphere. If you want to bring some big change in the society in the field of administration and politics, you should join the College of Good Governance. Then we had the College of Performing Arts, Yoga and Naturopathy. We also signed an MOU with the Govt of Orissa to create model villages… team is so enthused, all the youths from different villages are going to do YLTP. They will be employed and many will be promoted as entrepreneurs… So there is good work happening. Ques: I struggle to know who I am, what was the intention behind my birth? What is my life’s purpose #SriSri: This is a very good question. This means you have woken up! This is a wake up call. Give a pat on your back, that you got this beautiful question. Now don’t be in a hurry to get an answer. It’s like a seed has just sprouted. Now it needs a little nurturing and all this meditation and all the practices that we do is all the nurturing. Don’t be in a rush for the see is going to sprout and become a sapling and then become a tree. That will take that little time and surely you will find out. Hold on to that passion. Ques: How to let go of the logical mind which doesn’t allow me to let go and have complete faith in god #SriSri: Never mind. Don’t struggle. Let the logical mind mature. It’s not a bad mind. It’s a good mind. Let it cook a little bit in the dark. Let it deny. See what happens. You will see it will drop all by itself. Like when a seed is soaked, after it has completely taken the liquid in, the husk on top of it automatically gives way. If you are trying to remove the husk when the seed is dry that’s not going to happen. So let it soak a little and hold on a bit. The pain about not feeling devotion it has already started. It is there. Because logic and devotion are not contradictory. They are opposites no doubt but you can do both. And the way to do it is you don’t put force, but just relax. Meditation is the bridge between logic and devotion or emotion. From Devotion you go to meditation and from logic also you go to meditation. So you hold on to meditation and from meditation you go to knowledge and then to love and devotion. Ques: What should a husband and wife do when they are faced with problems? #SriSri: Just have patience. Both of them have patience. Because there is this seven year itch.. after seven years there is some sort of itching (laughs). . So you should have some patience and wait for some time. Give some freedom. Don’t force each other to be something that they are not at that point of time. All that you need to do is give some time. Ques: What can be done to counter envy in the masses? #SriSri: Only through spiritual knowledge can this be conquered. There is no other way. The destructive mind cannot be handled by logic, by reasoning. No.. We need to create that age of wisdom where people honour something higher. Only then jealousy greed, all this can be reduced. It cannot be totally eliminated but it can be reduced to a great extent. Ques: Any guidelines for a spiritual seeker? #SriSri: 1. Don’t go for spiritual shopping. A little bit here, take some here, take something there. You will get confused and it will be a mess Don’t do that. 2. Have patience. You are on a path, have patience. Patience will definitely pay off. 3. Be sincere… there will be many a temptations on the path. Just keep your focus and move ahead. Ques: Sometimes blessings don’t seem to yield the desired results in time. What do I do? #SriSri: It will take its own time. Everything works according to some law. Mangoes will only come in the mango season. Though you have a mango tree you cannot expect in the month of December that the tree will give mangoes! There is a tree but for the fruit till that April, May, season time. In the same way, there is a right time for a blessing and the Nature or Brahman knows when to give you what and how much.
