Greetings Saints, Id like to share a dream which took my first reflections this morning back to my Saturday morning workshop and the stewardship of grace I experienced there of the saints and the grace they had received regarding their labor with the assignment on the lesson on Self Questions. (1) In my dream, I was looking at a food coupon for Asian food. While I knew what 2 of the 3 items were that had to be purchased, I did not know what the 3rd item was, as it was written in the language of that food culture. Then a gal came in and looked at the coupon for me, describing the 3rd item as “very good”. Her enthusiasm helped me to see that this was one of her favorites. **This part of the dream speaks to me of the stewardship of grace which we exchange with one another in the workshops as well as in assembly with God and one another, and how this nourishment of charity is delightful to the soul, in that it is full of the substance of Christ (grace and truth). (2) Next, I was showing a man where the free ice cream was to be found. There was a long hallway we had to walk down. I remember thinking, this is crazy! Finally, I pointed out to him a soft serve ice cream machine in a small deli and check out area off to the left of this long walkway. But then bearing right at the end of another long walkway there was a large freezer full of buckets of ice cream, like a buffet of ice cream. **As I wrestled with grace on this part of the dream, the Spirit helped me see the connection in how following the rhythm of self questions is the suggestion that leads us on a long walk (or journey) as the flesh pursuits its own pleasure, like the spiritual ice cream (those sweet ol “moments frozen in time” or those “bubbles” of the past like Apostle John talked about recently)—those things which at one time seemed pleasurable experiences, but which activity was unhealthy for the soul. (3) But then I saw a new white chest freezer in the corner of a dining area with a new mahogany dining room set. As I reflected on this, I saw a very clear distinction, whereas this now is the place of my dining. There is no striving with self question that take one down a long journey in pursuit of satisfying an appetite (or aspiration), but this is the place now where we sit down and dine upon the knowledge of Christ.... this is His table now, not the buffet table of the world of false knowledge. The new white freezer represents the work of the Spirit within my soul (regeneration and renewing of my thinking patterns) for this where I have the exchange of sweet fellowship with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as I simply draw from the well of the anointing (within me--new white freezer). This dream was truly a reward as the Lord was showing me His ongoing work in me, Praise His name!
