Did Anand Sharma, Indias then Commerce India, fully agree - TopicsExpress

Did Anand Sharma, Indias then Commerce India, fully agree with TFA at Bali without a rider ? Even if he did, we now have a new Government in India which sees differently from UPA I I and from its point of view, TFA cannot be accepted without taking into account the issue of food subsidy and which is right. It cannot barter away the need and interest of its domestic/home constituents, viz. farmers & marginally & extreme poor. WTO member countries must be willing to open another round of negotiation and incorporate Indias proposal. However if they agree to disagree and want to go ahead without India, well, they have their choice to make but dont browbeat India. Supposing if USA had not accepted TFA because it goes against interest of home constituent, would WTO member countries react in the way they are reacting against India ? It seems that only New Zealand understands. Fully agree that WTO deal is not dead but must be improved upon and Indias concerns must be addressed.
