Did anyone else see the LADEE rocket launch as it went over Manchester last night around 11:30? It was incredible! You could definitely see that it was a rocket with a long fiery tail. I used my 11x80 binoculars and could actuality see the rocket and the shaped flame. Then in a few moments after seeing the rocket (about 40 degrees about the horizon coming out of the south) you could actually hear the rumble. The smoke trail lingered for quite a while afterwards. Just fantastic! How many times can you see a NASA rocket launch from Manchester?
