Did anyone watch Amazon rising last night? I know there are two sides to every story but Jeff Bezos, the creator of Amazon, declined to be interviewed as did the corporate employees. HOWEVER, the warehouse employees did talk and I was appalled. The conditions at the warehouse in Kentucky were, at times, 102 degrees with employees passing out from heat. Employees being questioned as to why they took more than their allotted time to use the restroom. BTW they werent able to use the restroom when needed only during their appointed time. AND if you were in there only seconds longer than permitted they questioned your actions. The warehouse is approx the size of 20 football fields and employees averaged 15 miles a day walking to get products off shelf and then fired on the spot if you took more than the 15 seconds they allowed you to go from isle 5 to isle 74 get the product then get back to isle 25! OK off my soap box but no more Amazon orders from me. I refuse to put their employees thru that especially when it was admitted by the Russian mathematician that if robots could work as fast as the humans they would fire all the workers!! SMH
