Did dogs evolve to eat meat any more than we did? The healthiest people I know are vegan, many of them, like myself, were NOT healthy when they ate meat and dairy. I have a pack of dogs thriving on Vdog dogfood and it has no soy but 24% protein, higher than almost all kibble with meat in it. The dogs eyes are glowing, coats thick and shiny...they have plenty of energy (too much) and they LOVE the food. I think dogs evolved to eat what we give them and they will either thrive or suffer the consequences of our choices, just like our children.
