Did the first Barge run of the year today and it was one of my best trips ever. Water is low but the channel is very clean and there is no debris in the river. 2 1/2 hours return trip from the landing even with a headwind on the Yentna. Saw the first King of the year behind the Barge this morning as I was leaving the dock and Willie hooked 2 today. Hooligan should be at Lake Creek tomorrow. We do need rain soon though to put out the fires and bring the river up.
