Did the walls of Jericho fall because Joshua quoted the Word of God over it everyday, or did the walls of Jericho fall because Joshua heard God and was OBEDIENT to what he heard? They fell because he was obedient to Gods command. So, we see that it is through obedience to the Word of God that our blessings come. Quote all you want, it is good to quote the Word, but obedience is required! It is through obedience and trust in Gods Word that we receive from God. When we obey God, and trust him in deeds and actions and not just in lip service we position ourselves to receive Gods blessings.
