Due to the unprecedented drought conditions this year and sole reliance on groundwater to meet the Valley’s water demands, the groundwater table has significantly declined in the vicinity of Madera Ranchos. The Madera Ranchos Water System currently relies on three wells to meet its water demands. The declining water table is causing these wells to lose production. The system is unable to maintain adequate system pressures at current demand levels. For those who dont know, Madera Ranchos is just a few miles from Fresno proper. The Central San Joaquin Valley, both cities and farmers, have been calling for improved water storage capacity and infrastructure for years. The politicians have completely ignored our calls.
