Did you know? That a lot of Pagans recognise Jesus and Mary Magdalene? Some even revere Mary Magdalene as a great feminist and all round good person, much like many Christians do. If you don’t know who Mary Magdalene was then you’ll have to look it up because there are a few different accounts of her life and even the Catholic church changed its mind about her at one point. There’s even another Mary, Mary of Bethany whom Christianity can’t decide whether or not she was in fact Mary Magdalene. She is not to be confused with Mary, the Mother of Jesus aka the Virgin Mary but she has been confused with a few other Mary’s which are referred to in the Bible. But basically Mary Magdalene was the woman who stood by Jesus’ side throughout a lot of the Bible, was the last to leave him at the crucifixion and afterwards, was the first to realise that he had risen. Some accounts say that she was the wife of Jesus, others say that she was just extremely devote to him. There’s even a load of fuss over whether or not she had Jesus’ child and there being a bloodline. Some Pagans recognise not just Jesus, but all prophets as examples of great people. However they do not see Jesus as the son of God, or as somebody any more inherently important than any other person who has ever existed, including other prophets such as Muhammad. Source: Tumblr
