Did you know that ALS (aka Lou Gehrigs disease) affects 2 of every 100,000 people and leads to extreme muscle weakness or paralysis including muscles that we use to speak, swallow, and breathe? And did you know that only 20% of those affected by the disease live longer than 5 years after diagnosis? We still know so little about ALS and raising awareness is the first step in learning more!
