Did you know that all marriages in Uganda are equal? Church, Moslem, Civil and customary. But the first marriage has precedence over subsequent marriages. If youre a Moslem or Christian but your first marriage was at the registrars, then your subsequent marriages either in the mosque or church to another person are null and void. If your first marriage was customary, then you dont dissolve it but go ahead and wed in church with another spouse, that church wedding is also null and void. Ignorance of the law is no defense. So guys be careful when youre going about your marriage business.
