Katema Claims Govt Unaware of Sata’s “Hospitalisation” Chief government spokesperson Joseph Katema says government has not received any information that President Michael Sata has been admitted to a New York hospital as is being reported by US media. Reacting to US media reports that President Sata was admitted to hospital after falling sick on Thursday, Dr Katema the government has not received any such adverse information from the President’s delegation in New York. US media organizations that reported President Sata’s hospitalization include VOA, Newsweek and Associated Press. Newsweek further reported President Sata had died quoting a UN source. President Sata is in New York for the annual gathering of world leaders at the United Nations General Assembly, where he was scheduled to speak on Wednesday.
