Did you know that in Ohio the dog pounds dont have a provision for public adoption? In fact, Ohio, the way our laws read is that the animal warden can release the dogs only to animal testing facilities or to non-profit agencies that train assistance animals. Am I wrong ? Has there been an amendment to this that I dont know about? If not, this needs to change immediately because even if its not actively enforced and most wardens are more forward-thinking, it just takes one as*hole warden to enforce it and theres blood on our hands for not doing something about it.
