Did you know, that most emotional, physical and mental health - TopicsExpress

Did you know, that most emotional, physical and mental health issues are actually rooted in your biological set up? The ancient Indian “science of life” called Ayurveda explains that human beings, like the Universe, are made up of each of the five elements: Air, Space, Fire, Water, Earth and the Soul. These elements, in their biological form, are known as Doshas: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Every activity and function of our mind and body is dependent upon the balanced or unbalanced state of our doshas. And it is these ‘Dosha’s constituting your biological set-up that play a role more critical than you can imagine… Because we all have all of the elements in our bodies, we all have each of the doshas as well. But every one of us is born with a unique, individual balance of these doshas. So, no two of us are alike! The four elements and the fifth hidden element Our forefathers referred to five elements, four that can be changed and experienced by the five senses and a fifth that represents space, a vast emptiness or a spirit that cannot be sensed by the four senses and cannot be changed. These perceptions where prominent in Ancient Greece, in India, Japan and China. The Greek perception, influenced the way European culture visualized things and the art of Alchemy during the Middle Ages. The four elements and the Platonic solids It is interesting to see that the five fundamentals are analogous to the five platonic solids. The platonic solids are five shapes whose apexes meet to form a perfect sphere. The five forms and their combinations create all possible molecular structures and through them reality in its entirety. The platonic solids The four elements in Hinduism According to Hinduism, all the elements where created from the akasha or vast emptiness. The human body is also formed from the five elements with each of our senses being tied to a specific element. Additionally, each of the elements represents one of the Chakras. The first or basic chakra is represented by the earth. The second Chakra is represented by water. The third chakra is represented by fire. The fourth, the heart, is represented by the air. The fifth chakra represents the sound. The sixth chakra, the third eye represents light and darkness. The seventh chakra, the crown chakra, represents space and thought.
