Did you know that we are lucky enough be within an hours drive of the Ontario Veterinary College Veterinary Teaching Hospital? Much like a human patient may be transferred from a smaller regional hospital to a teaching hospital, we are able to arrange to transfer patients for more advanced care, if required. Our veterinarians will call for referral and information if your pets condition requires long-term or advanced ICU care, advanced diagnostics (CT, MRI, in-depth diagnostic ultrasounds) or a specialist veterinarians expertise (see their list of specialty departments, linked below). Like a human medical specialist, a specialist veterinarian has undertaken 3-5 years of extra training after graduation to be able to provide advanced care in their field.
