Did you know there are “new rules to reverse diabetes according to a article in the November Reader’s Digest ‘Health Digest’ where they note “recent guidelines from the American Diabetes Association” have changed. They recommend “fine tuning (of) many long-held health habits” to garner “even better results”. The third rule that has had a change is getting “enough hours of sleep; research links too little shut-eye to increased diabetes risk." The new update says to “make it a good night’s sleep - sleep quality may matter as much to your health as the number of hours of slumber” each night. “Research shows that poor sleep affects your body’s ability to properly metabolize sugar and disrupts the hormones that regulate your appetite, which can lead to weight gain and increase your diabetic risk.”
