Did you know there is a Greek preposition μετά meta, which in our Bibles we translate WITH? Why did I ask this question? Because I believe it is imperative that we understand that the Scriptures NEVER give us a command to walk WITH Jesus and if He was some kind of external companion!! Our Walk: 1). In The Spirit: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit (literally, by Spirit walk you), and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” Galatians 5:16. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit (literally, by Spirit also we should walk)” Galatians 5:25. 2). In The Son: “As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye IN HIM (literally: in him walk you)...” Colossians 2:6 (emphasis mine). 3). In God: “...walk worthy of God...” 1 Thessalonians 2:12. “...walk and to please God...” 2 Thessalonians 4:1. Jesus + Spirit = God!! On Being Led... “For as many as are led (ἄγω agō) by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” Romans 8:14 (Galatians 5:18). “For it became him (Jesus), for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing (ἄγω agō) many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings” Hebrews 2:10. ...the goodness of God leadeth (ἄγω agō) thee to repentance Romans 2:4. Our Christian Walk Through This Dark Diseased Death-ridden World: Romans 4:12, ...walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham... (2 Corinthians 5:7). Romans 6:4, “Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Romans 8:1. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Romans 13:13-14. “Let us walk properly (honestly), as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in licentiousness and lewdness, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts” (1 Thessalonians 4:12). Ephesians 4:1, 17, ...walk worthy of the vocation (calling) wherewith ye are called... walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind Ephesians 5:2, 8, ..walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour... walk as children of light. Ephesians 5:15, See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise Colossians 1:10, ...walk worthy of the Lord... 1 John 1:7, ...walk in the Light... {Jesus said, I AM THE LIGHT John 8:12; 9:5; 12:46}. 1 John 2:6, He that saith he abideth in him {Jesus} ought himself also so to walk, even as he {Jesus} walked. 2 John 6, ...walk after his {Jesus} commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it {... that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another 2 John 5}. 3 John 4, ...walk in truth... May I ask you, אֵיך הוֹלֵך eikh holekh? How Is Your Walk?
