Did you witness a collision in Doncaster last night? Police are seeking to trace a car which failed to stop at the scene of a collision in Marr, Doncaster, yesterday (Tuesday 15 April). At around 8.45pm, a Rover 75 was heading along the A635 Barnsley Road towards Doncaster when the driver narrowly avoided a collision with a car which is believed to be a Vauxhall Corsa. The Rover then lost control, left the road and landed on its roof. The second vehicle failed to stop at the scene. The driver of the Rover, a 43-year-old man from Thurnscoe, suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains. His passenger, a 43-year-old man from Edlington, also sustained minor injuries in the collision. He was taken to hospital and has since been discharged. South Yorkshire Police are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the collision or the manner of driving of either vehicle prior to it.
