Luis Miguel Etchevehere, WFO Board Member for Latin American and President of Sociedad Rural Argentina (Argentine Farmers Union) speaks about opportunities and challenges at the World Trade Organization WTO OMCs Public Forum during a working session organised by WFO and Schweizer Bauernverband (Swiss Farmers Union) During the event, Etchevehere emphasised there the importance to create a greater freedom of trade and the need to eliminate barriers at the international level with aim to increase the global production of food and enhance sustainable development of #farming and #agricultural families. At the same time, Etchevehere said, All of these questions will lose value if the governments of developing countries do no perform stable macroeconomic policies, where there is no inflation and pressure on tax levels, which are kept outside the competence to the producers, especially the smallest.
