Dieing to Self We often say as Christians that we need to die to self and give everything to God. That is an absolute if you are going to follow Christ. But within that dieing we get to make decisions that do affect our walks. The Holy Spirit is such a gentleman. He nudges and suggests and waits. We get to weave a tapestry with him through our abiding (living) in him. He takes our decisions and weaves them together with his will, things drop off that hinder us, He helps us throw things out that hinder Him, gradually we become more and more like him. Our decisions become more and more His decisions until we cant even tell the difference! Taking up His cross is a daily thing. We decide to do it it does not just happen. Dieing is also a daily act, the conscious effort to put things down that harm our walk with God. Its never about success or failure but always about our willingness to abide (live with) and trust. Luke 9:23-24 (NIV) Then he said to them all: If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
