Diffused Vision Do you know where on your opponents body you should be focusing your eyes in the midst of a real street-fight? Contrary to popular belief, you should not be focusing your vision onto your opponents eyes. The eyes can be deceptive and they are too far removed from the opponents lower body, meaning you may not be able to see everything. It is ideal to place your vision somewhere around the chest and shoulder area. However, do so without focusing too harshly at one spot. Rather, diffuse your vision, focusing your eyes softly in that general area, therefore enabling your peripheral vision to pick up large body movements from the opponent. This way you are able to see the head, hands, feet, etc. When facing more than one attacker, place your vision in a spot that enables you to see each person with your peripheral vision. Training your eyes to look in ideal spots while you are in the midst of a physical exchange can give you a huge edge in any altercation.
