Digging the uranium takes energy, fossil energy. Building the nuke takes energy, most of it fossil. It takes about five years to get the energy back from the plant IF it runs full power for those years. After decommissioning the waste and contamination of the site and materials has to be stored and guarded for thousands of years, all of which will likely come from non-nuclear. The plants are net energy takers not makers. In addition to the people who will guard it for hundreds of human generations, the plants will provide lots of work for cancer specialists.
