Dilemma in Battle: Circular Reasoning Before I explain my battle - TopicsExpress

Dilemma in Battle: Circular Reasoning Before I explain my battle and questions, I will share the answer that the Lord led me to. “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" ~Matthew 18:3 A child doesn’t understand much and doesn’t try to understand either. And why should they? They have no conscious knowledge of evil to worry. They know their parents love them and will supply all their needs. It is engraved in them to trust. If any man thinks that he knows anything, he knows nothing yet as he ought to know ~1 Corinthians 8:2 GIST: Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). For we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). ======================================================= Dilemma: It is prideful to be hating yourself for not being humble enough, for being who you are. Yet, it is pride that causes you to be who you are - not humble enough! It is prideful to be discontent and discouraged for not serving the Lord with gladness - as if we are trying to build our own righteousness (Romans 10:3). Yet, it is also pride that causes you to not serve the Lord with gladness! It is a sign that you are not abiding in the love of Christ, not surrendered to His will and content with whatever grace He has given you. It is pride because true humility is being thankful and joyous in the Lord, no matter what is happening in your life. Looking at Christ’s righteousness and not your own “level of holiness". You are not your own god, so accept who you are, relax knowing that all things are working together with a planned purpose for your good, and let God’s grace do His work in you. Yet, not being watchful to be holy makes pride manifest by resulting in sin, thus breaking our fellowship with the Lord. It is not easy, because sin/pride does dwell in us and as long as we live in this flesh we will be fighting off pride (Romans 7). Any time we are not joyous in the Lord, it is because we are proud. How difficult is this game? If I am not in fellowship with the Lord, should I fight pride by “just letting loose and being the prideful self I am" or should I fight pride by hating my pride and thus continue to be prideful? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound (Romans 6:1)? The answer is to be a man and accept the whole counsel of God’s will for your life - keep on fighting the battle against pride by obeying His word and waiting on Him “to do the next thing". Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Faith is what allows us to take a hold of the Lord’s garment and tug for grace to stand. Greater faith then allows us to come boldly to the throne of grace, taking a hold of Jesus not only as Lord but as Brother. Faith in His immeasurable love to us. Such faith does not come easy. All that happens in our lives is to teach us to become as little children, convince us that we know nothing and put our full trust in Jesus, only seeing Him and not ourselves. To depend on Him entirely. The child is not conscious of himself but only conscious of his parent’s love supplying his instinctual needs/desires. To become like a baby is to have this faith: For I am not aware of anything against myself, but I am not thereby acquitted. It is the Lord who judges me ~1 Corinthians 4:4 God bless you all and help you with His abundant grace In Christ Jesus our Lord.
